Hi, I’m Jess-The heart and hands behind Blade and Brow Beauty BarMy journey into the world of permanent cosmetics began with a passion for beauty and a desire to empower others. In the midst of this soul-searching and trying to break free from the constant hustle, I stumbled upon Microblading. In 2017, I experienced its transformative power firsthand. Emerging from years of battling thin, asymmetrical brows, I felt a newfound empowerment. The seed of inspiration was planted, compelling me to share this gift with women who, like me, had faced the challenge of sparse eyebrows. With a commitment to excellence, I sought the best training through PhiBrows, determined to create brows that are ultra-realistic and unique. These are not your grandmothers tattooed on eyebrows from the 90's! Most importantly, I wanted to break the stigma around permanent makeup. I knew it could look natural and subtly enhance one’s beauty and I set out to make that a reality. I trained and perfected my craft for over a year before even touching real skin (and the first was was my poor mother and sister). They still came out great, though my work has improved exponentially.
Armed with a background in skin anatomy, a love for art, and a passion for beauty, I set out to create Blade and Brow Beauty Bar in 2019. Starting with zero clients, I took a chance on myself, hoping to inspire others and connect with amazing women (and men). Today, I’ve expanded to include Nano Brows, Lip Blush, Microblading, and more. Permanent Makeup is not just a service; it's my passion. As the recipient of the Best PMU Clinic for 2023 in San Antonio, I've become an award-winning artist with thousands of hours invested in my craft and clients who have helped me become the best version of myself.
In the same year, I made the difficult decision to relocate my business to Houston, TX. Once again, I took a leap of faith and started from scratch, but this time I am blessed with many wonderful clients who have decided to follow me and keep up with their beauty touch-ups.
My current goal is to expand my clientele and continue helping others with their permanent makeup needs as well as training future artists who share the same passion.
